  • 500 g Prawns (cleaned)
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp Onion paste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 piece Bay leaf
  • 3 piece Cardamom
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

    Clean and devein prawns. Marinate with turmeric and salt.

    Heat ghee. Lightly fry prawns. Set aside.

    In the same pan, add bay leaf and cardamom. Add onion paste and ginger paste.

    Cook until golden. Add turmeric and a little water.

    Pour in coconut milk. Bring to a gentle simmer.

    Add prawns and sugar. Cook for 8-10 minutes on low heat.

    Serve with fragrant basmati rice.
